We're headed to the Elite Eight and the Slat Rat is still sitting very pretty on the NCAA Bracketology front.

I'm atop both the Kenan Project Pool and the University of Minnesota Law Students Pool! (Pooh fronted me into the Law Student Pool).

Life is very good indeed!

Well, after yesterday's Deliverance Adventure, we tried again today for Charlie's Wrath geocache. We had a much better plan today - we actually knew where we were going. So, instead of bouncing our way down a disastrous dirt path, we exited off of I-75 right to the entrance of C M Webb Wildlife Preserve. We then headed off deep into the preserve via yet another dirt road - but this one was the Champs Elysee compared to yesterday's little wagon trail.

While motoring our way down the Champs Elysee, we saw an absolutely huge snake off to the side of the road. He wasn't a long snake, but he was one totally fat snake. He had obviously just done brunch.

Anyhoo, we basically drove almost right up to the cache. It was located in a really nifty secluded area deep in the preserve. We only had to walk about 100 yards. The Ski Boy spotted the cache, but he made me retrieve it because he was afraid of snake or scorpion like critters. However, no snakes or scorpions are going to get between me and my geocache. So, I carefully went in right after that sucker!!!!

Here's our fat and scary looking snake!

Here I am, very carefully logging our visit to Charlies Wrath.

Quite the day today on the Florida front. We woke up at Suzie's place in Fort Meyers, did breakfast, headed back to Suzie's house to get shoes (sandals leave one exposed to snake bites) and then made our way to Rotary Park in Cape Coral to do the 4-Way Test geocache. Rotary Park is not a playground park - it's actually a nature preserve. A perfect spot for snakes, alligators and geocaching.

4-Way was Suzie's first ever geocache. So, we made Suzie do most of the navigation. She did quite well and we navigated our way to the ground zero and Suzie found the cache right off the bat. Fortunately, we never had to go off trail. Which was a good thing. I'm pretrified of snakes and this was definitely snake country.

Here's the victorious Suzie with the cache!
