A very important Spring happening was on the calendar today: Greenstar's Annual Electronic's Recycling Event.
We loaded up Hubert with Hewey (sob), several old PC's, the innards of a t.v., a printer, 3 monitors, joysticks and keyboards. We then puttered our way out to the old Fed Ex building at the airport. We arrived at 9:15 AM (very early on a Saturday for this Slat Rat) and were 5th in line. The recyling event did not start until 10:00 AM, but we wanted to be there bright and early - we figured there would be a huge line. And we called that one right! Twenty minutes later, there were at least 50 cars behind us. The early bird definitely got the worm on this go around.
The loading bays opened up early. By 9:45 AM Hubert was unloaded and we were headed off for breakfast.
Here's a shot of Hubert's very full back end. Hewey is in the lower left hand corner. Hewey is now on his way to the great electronics boneyard in the sky.
