This morning, the Ski Boy, Scott, and I undertook a Queen Anne Geocaching marathon. Queen Anne is quaint, but spectacular and very hilly section of Seattle. Queen Anne has a ton of geocaches - many are extremely nefarious puzzle caches. But there is a subset of caches which are actually doable for the casual visitor.

At 10:00 AM this morning, Scott and his Jeep Wrangler swung by the Vintage Park to pickup Peter and me, and away we went!!!

First up was the absolutely spectacular Kerry Viewpoint Park.

Here's a romantic shot of the Ski Boy and myself with the Space Needle and downtown Seattle in the background.

The next photo op came at Scott's absolutely evil puzzle cache Backwords at the Top of the Hill. Peter and I had worked out the coordinates back in October, but this was our first chance to actually bag it. As you can see, it was a bit of stretch for the short Slat Rat.

The next one, Something Nice on Queen Anne was a multi cache and one of the top rated caches in all Seattle. An absolutely ingenious multi - just a ton of fun. Here are a few stage samples.

The first stage/cache. The coordinates to the next stage were hidden inside the acorn.

The third stage - the brick contains the last three digits for both the North and West coordinates. Sweet!

Our last cache of the day - Moon over Queen Anne. Another great view. The picture below is of me and Scott.
