At the bookstore I found the Garfinkel & Mahoney book, Building Cocoa Applications. Just as I was leaving, the new Gordianus the Finder book by Saylor caught my eye. It was hardcover, but as I had been waiting about nine months or so for a new one, I shrugged and picked it up. Also, a Jane Yolen paperback about some map; I’ve always considered Yolen one of those intelligent female fantasists who can write so well for universal audiences, child or senior, alike, along with Ursula Kroeber Le Guin, Diana Wynne Jones, et al.

A transformer on our street blew today, cutting off power at about 7:30 or so. Took a walk down to see the firemen trying to figure out which one blew. By nine, it was too dark to read so I went to the Borders in Westfield or Clark.
