Low tastes:

Tuesday, went to Duane or Reade St to browse the computer book store for new ideas and get chili cheese fries, a frank, and a papaya at the Mike’s Papaya. I don’t think I’ve been to either of these places since before the incident. Hot day, lots of people.

Wednesday, went with Roy down Broadway to the Custom House (Amerind museum), past our Chase stomping grounds, bought an empanada, then went back.

By the way, I caught the last possible train at 1:47; got home at 2:42. Could not sleep until 7 or so, so I finished Storm of Swords at around 5:30 am or so. Wow. Thoughts later.

Short work day, processing data from last night’s late runs.

Finally done and homeward bound.

[update:] John St at 12:30. Not quite empty. Garbage trucks. Cleaning people taking a break. Grated subway entrances.

Empty corridors. Listless loungers waiting for the next train. One rat chases another down the subway tracks, then the two play hide and seek.

The A is a local at these times. Last stretch of GRRM.
