Another DMCA Attack Looms. Virginia Democrat Rick Boucher plans in the next month to go after a key section of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. [Wired News]

This is key.  Boucher is trying to retrofit the fair use rights we've enjoyed since the dawn of copyright onto the DMCA.  If this effort fails, the reasons will be instructive.

I'm not optimistic.  If he succeeds, it'll be a great precedent in the upcoming war with Hollywood.
