Amen. If your code isn't a part of some sort of component framework, it's much less inherently valuable because it's excluded from component marketplaces. In other words, it's less useful. It's like writing code for some obscure platform. Sure, it works, but you've made it so hard for others to use, you might as well have not written it at all.
