Very Good Eats If you didn't use your PVR to record the "Good Eats" marathon on Food Network today, you just don't know what you're missing. Man is that good TV. I can't get enough.
Thinking about the show, I realized that a lot of the good TV I watch is flat-out educational programming. Good Eats is about chemistry, food anthropology and related subjects. Junkyard Wars is a bunch of physics lessons dressed up in a competition. Antiques Roadshow is about art and art history, as well as commercial and industrial design, with some British and world history thrown in. Walking With Dinosaurs is about paleontology and Big Cat Diary is about zoology, ethology, and ecological stuff.
Notice that most of those shows are produced in affiliation with the BBC? That's no coincidence. 11:48:24 PM
