Negroponte And Lily Pads Being Wireless Nicholas Negroponte explains why Wi-Fi "lily pads and frogs" will transform the future of telecom. [Wired.com]
(I've misplaced the RSS link for this, sorry.) In this short essay, Negroponte does a good job of arguing for the distributed, wireless, Stuckist Internet. He uses the increasingly popular "lily pads" metaphor, which is really neat. He credits "Alessandro Ovi, technology adviser to European Commission president Romano Prodi," with inventing this metaphor. Wow. A politician who actually "gets it?" Gotta be European. 9:11:06 AM
