Adam's Family Episode One I just finished watching episode one of "Adam's Family," which I downloaded from Adam via BitTorrent. I liked it alot, and I can't wait for the next episode -- even though I don't speak Dutch!
Many scenes -- from Adam's tiff with his wife to the cat-and-mouse chase -- need no translation. And all the music's in English. I was impressed with the lighting -- it is the inside of a real house, after all. And the editing struck me as professional quality.
But one thing jumped out at me. I wanna know how much money they spent clearing all those music clips they used! There's some classic songs featured, and some recognizable performances of those songs. They must have spent a bundle. 11:40:19 PM
Adam Gets BitTorrent to Work Adam reports on his Bit Torrent experiment. [Scripting News]
Okay, cool. He ended up getting it to work. I'm pleased he's articulated the vision of using BitTorrent from within a weblog for lazy distribution of syndicated large media content. 9:36:27 PM
He Gets It Steve Gillmor: "Opinionated, volatile, blunt, and disruptive, Dave Winer is an American original." [Scripting News]
There's a lot in Gillmor's article, but I wanna sneak in one comment. Remember when I said Tim O'Reilly "gets it?" From the article: "All have put their money where their mouth is: [...] O'Reilly by donating 200 book titles to the Creative Commons licensing model..."
Totally sweet. 8:48:15 PM
