Darren Barefoot notes DevX's list of the top ten technologies for developers to know in order to keep their jobs. Presumably, the same would go for technical writers, since we'll have to write about these technologies and the products developed with them. And Robert Scoble looks to India or China for the next technology innovations. Which is presumably where our jobs will be going over the next few years.

Which brings us to the subject of the next presentation at Silicon Valley STC, "Exploring Our Future: Technical Communication 2013." There will be two opportunities to catch the show before it moves on to the STC Conference in Dallas in May: Santa Cruz on March 26, and Sunnyvale on March 27.

"The greatest mystery is not that we have been flung at random between the profusion of matter and of the stars, but that within this prison we can draw from ourselves images powerful enough to deny our nothingness."

Andre Malraux. [Quotes of the Day]

Days like these I try to remember that, in the end, we're here to support each other. As long as we're here in these mortal forms, let's try to make it a little easier on one another. Elsewise we're just doomed to keep repeating until we get it right.
