Notes from 2 by Two conference. Dirk Kneymeyer shares his notes from the invite-only 2 by Two conference at the IIT Institute of Design. Lots of bright people talking about the future of design. [ia/ - information architecture news]

I kinda wanted to read Dirk's notes, sounded like there might be something interesting. But what's with the ever-varying background colors? Awfully distracting, isn't it? Got a usability study that says it's somehow effective in driving away uncommited readers? Gag.

Sleep? Why sleep when you're having fun? I can sleep when I'm dead. But, I usually do get in eight hours. Sometimes I just wake up in the middle of the night and say "I gotta blog." [Scobleizer]

Larry Lessig and company are preparing to ask Congress to allow more copyrighted works into the public domain. You may recall that Lessig lost the Supreme Court case (aka "Free the Mouse") against the Sonny Bono Copyright Extension Act, so the next step in freeing old works into the public domain is for Congress to act. Sign the petition here. My signature is #126.
