Oracle's offering $5.1 billion to buy PeopleSoft just days after PeopleSoft announces a merger with JD Edwards. I've been contacted by three technical communicators at JDE concerned about their jobs and our processes. That merger may be moot with Oracle's offer. And Oracle's management suggests that People Soft employees can expect mass layoffs.
