The College Board sez that American workers can't write well enough:
Best quotes, from the perspective of we who write for a living:
"There's no way to say that writing has
gotten worse," said Susan Traiman, director of the education initiative
for the Business Roundtable. Rather, "the demand has gotten greater."
"There's a great need to translate the technical to the practical," Raney said.
Of course, they're not saying there's more demand for professional
writers, just that most workers need better writing skills. But hey,
right now any slightly positive news is welcome.
