db40 is a light weight, very fast object oriented database implemented in pure Java (oh yeah, there's a pure .Net version written in C# too). Not free, but it looks very cool indeed. I'd love to hear some usage stories from any users.
The query language is the most concerning for me, there don't really seem to be any examples of real world usage in the tutorial (ie find me all this type of object matching these criteria sorted by this field).
Still, a nifty tool.

I've updated the Java and J2EE Weblogs page with a look and feel that should be very familiar for Java developers .
There's also 5 new blogs listed (some really cool ones!) and a new nifty little button that you can put on your own blog.

If you're listed and want your entry changed / updated, please let me know. I haven't had a chance to add all the project links etc yet.

Cortex Releases Clover 1.0 J2EE Code Coverage Tool - Cortex is a pretty cool company and Clover looks nifty too. I know Scott ran it over the JIRA unit tests a while ago, but I'm not sure of the results. We need to add it into our daily build process and see how it helps us. The only drawback? It's vastly overpriced
