Allen Johnson weighs in on the possibility of editing comments at the letters-to-the-editor blog: "We are as concerned about this troubling trend as others are and we're mulling our options. "We're hoping we can come up with solutions that don't hinder the healthy flow of ideas and perspectives." I think social solutions will work in most cases. Don't feed the trolls, and they will get bored and go away, or keep posting and look foolish. Also, recognize that one reader's troll is sometimes another reader's wit. Check out the new N&R site. My experience with redesigns is that it takes a while to get used to the new look, but one usually does. Truth and Rec hearings this Friday and Saturday. These folks are going to produce a document, even without the buy-in of the City.
