We had a little barbeque tonight. Ted, Babs, John and Karen, Carmen, Mike and their kids. Mike sang at our wedding and has been recording and performing with a band in Austin, TX called Black Before Red. They have two EPs out that are downloadable from their site. I have really been enjoying their songs tonight, now that everyone has gone to sleep. Their 9 year old son Jesse wanted to stay with his grandparents up at the lake but was lured here by the story that we have a "Room full of legos". I was kind of nervous that he would be disappointed when he got here to discover that we don't actually have an undiscovered lego theme park in our basement. He was impressed, though.
I wondered tonight the same thing I wonder every time we have people over: "WHY WHY WHY did I move near the airport? "
