Thousands of Arizona, N.M. acres remain afire. The Helen's II Fire 20 miles east of Tucson in Saguaro National Park grew by about 500 acres Tuesday and several other Arizona wildfires continue to burn, including an eastern Arizona blaze that had been contained. Hanlonvision.com Faster Pussycat downstairs at the Elbo Room. I'M NOT WITH THE BAND On Monday night, my friend _____ got a call from a friend in a band playing at Chicago's Elbo Room and asked if I'd like to go with him to the place and maybe shoot some pix. The bands at the club were Faster Pussycat, Enuff Z'Nuff, and Pretty Boy Floyd. When _____ and I went looking for his friend, we had to knock on a couple of tour buses to find him. And so, for the first time in my life, I went inside one of these vehicles. I expected something a little more spectacular, but it was pretty much like being at home. However, mostly everyone just sat there watching a video. Now here's the surreal part: The video was the movie "Almost Famous" -- and scenes taking place on a tour bus were onscreen during much of the time we were in there. Weird or what?
