A picture named pris09.jpgDry Bones. I've blogged The Prisoner before, but that doesn't matter, because I found some new links and it still is the best TV series next to Raumpatrouille. Anyway - here is The Prisoner at Retroweb; and a better Fanpage is here.

"Dedicated to Patrick McGoohan's cult TV series "The Prisoner", this site offers an extensive range of information, graphics, original artwork and music, plus information and graphics on Patrick McGoohan's other TV hit "Danger Man" ("Secret Agent" in the USA)."

And if you think you can download the amazing version of 'Dry Bones', in the last episode performed by The Four Lads , which is now unavailable anywhere, you are mistaken. Not even for 24 hours. And it's the best version of 'Dry Bones' ever. [The Cartoonist]

A New Kind of Science

Weinberger Blogs Wolfram...

I think it was around 1970 that my friend the exobiologist loaned me Thomas Kuhn's "Structure of Scientific Revolutions."   This morning, David Weinberger is continuing his live blogging of the Wolfram Conference on "A New Kind of Science."  What does one have to do with the other?  hey, I'm just the writer in an age of bricolage.  You figure it out.

Thank you Dr. Weinberger, for live blogging this event.  I have a mental image of a bank of payphones and 1940's reporters in hats and suits running for the phones to call in their almost real-time reportage.  You're doing them one better in a micromedia content kind of way.  Cool!

From Chris @ 101-365
Although it is contrary to the predictions of tricolor theory, a wide range of colors can indeed be mixed from only two primaries.
Go see for yourself how closely a dichromatic image matches a three color version.
Where do all the colors come from when there are only two primary colors? ... Stay tuned. [101-365]

Alan Moore / Juan Jose Ryp
More Alan Moore's Yuggoth Cultures by Ryp.

There's another great piece in the new Alan Moore's Yuggoth Cultures section -- our first look at an October release with the cover from Alan Moore's Yuggoth Cultures #2 by Juan Jose Ryp. Stellar colour out of space, so to speak, by Nimbus Studios. While you're there, be sure to read the extensive press release on this important new Moore series, with info from Bryan Talbot, Jacen Burrows, Mike Wolfer, Antony Johnston, and Moore himself. And that's not all -- stay tuned to avatarpress.com for further key developments on this landmark series in the coming weeks. [Avatar Press]
