Free Offer From Abstract Dynamics
music.weblog. music.journalism.blogsphere - -- - -- . .- - . .- - -- tobias c. van Veen - -- - -
good piece covering the quite small (as far as I can tell) music journalism blogsphere. I would really like the see this realm grow, but I have to say I'm really frustrated with the lack of RSS feeds in this world. Makes it damn hard to keep up with a weblog if they don't have a feed. Perhaps if the pioneers had feeds things might grow a bit faster?
So I'm making an offer to anyone currently music weblogging without an RSS feed or who would like to start one, I'll set you up with a free moveable type site on my server. Ad free and what not. Only caveat (for tech reasons) is that it needs to be on one of my current domains, preferably stateofemergence.com. Oh and of course you'll need to convince me that you have reasonably good taste in music. But I'm open. Just shoot an email to me if you are interested. Feel free to spread the word. Over is open ended until I decide to stop it. [Abstract Dynamics]

Entry from Chris Heilman (101-365) on PhoenixBloggers:
Ker-bOOM!. I was sitting in front of the computer when I heard the wind start to kick up. "Oh boy!" I thought, finally a decent monsoon storm. Sorry Kacy, I know, tomorrow morning I'll hate it when I step out into... [Phoenix Bloggers]

Notebooks
As Kara points out, the planet Mercury is especially elusive due to it's proximity to the sun.
The last time I saw the planet, nine years ago, through the Schwar telescope, I drew it. On the same page I drew spectra of the triasterism, The Bull of Poniatowski, which includes the star 70 Ophiuchi:

The fourth magnitude star in the '13th sign of the zodiac, Ophiuchus, is only 16 light years from earth and, according to spectrum spectrum, has close to half the luminosity of the sun. If a suitable planet were about the same size and distance from the primary as Venus, well, that planet could hold an atmosphere and liquid water... [101-365]

Bartender, I'd Like One Mediaburn with a Twist
Recent mention of Mediaburn on VodkaPundit. Stephen Green misunderstood my comments on efficient market theory. He thought I was criticizing free-market countries. Honest mistake. These theories can be very obscure, very dry stuff.
Some of the reader comments on the post elaborate on the Efficient Market Hypothesis or EMH. WARNING - BLOG POST CONTAINS ECONOMICS ;o)
Let Freedom Work. OK, so the Pentagon bowed to the expected complaints, and killed the Policy Analyst Market. That should make reader (and [VodkaPundit]
