Jonathan Gewirtz summarizes what we can learn from our two Presidential candiates based on the two falls they took from their bikes recently. Is this important? I think it begins to show the character of the men who are running for our highest office. It's rapidly becoming clear to me that Kerry is not fit to hold that office. Bush comes across as genuine and honest in his accident, finishing the ride after the spill. Kerry not only doesn't finish his ride, he makes a crack about training wheels when he hears of the President's accident. In common life, these types of things might be viewed as acceptable, if not funny. For the presumptive Democratic candidate, it comes across as juvenille and petty. I would hope for more from someone so supposedly civilized.
