100 things about me

"A person should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful that God has implanted in the human soul." - Goethe

Smallville & spaghetti

It's been a helluva day.  Second day back on the job and what did I do? I missed a department head meeting.  Kudos to me.  Guess I'll hear about it from my boss tomorrow.  Plus I'm still not feeling 100%, and by the end of the day I'm completely wiped out.  It can only get better from here, right?

I haven't been able to keep up with the news today since I heard about the shooting this morning.  I can't imagine the frustration law enforcement feels right now.  The people living in the DC area must be so frightened - I know I would be.  And the kids......geez.  Although I've cursed living in a small town many times in my life, I'm grateful for it when I read and hear about so much violence.  Not that we don't have our share of crime - just recently four people in my town were murdered.  Something like that doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it shakes the community to the core.

Tommorow's "hump day", thank God.  Feels like it's been a week already.  I just checked my site stats and nothing's showing up as far as visits go...not that I'm looking for an audience.  I like my blog - alot - and it is nice to be able to write whatever I want - not to please anyone but myself.  I've always been such a people pleaser - to actually take time to create on my own gives me a sense of accomplishment.  Even if it is plain or boring to anyone else.

I'm soon going to work on a header for my page.  Found some images I like if I can make them work here.

Guess it'll be Smallville on the tube tonight.  Smallville and spaghetti.  I won't even think about the fact that Becca and Adam are eating at Red Lobster tonight....
