Friday musingsIt's been another gorgeous day in Tennessee, and when I finally got home from work, Scott was downloading a new toy onto my computer leaving me with nothing to do but wait my turn. I borrowed his camera and took a few pictures outside. This flower is called a "Pixie Lily". I purchased it about a week ago and haven't planted it in the ground yet because the nights have been so cold. But we set it outside during the day when the sun is shining and bring it back in at bedtime. I can't wait to plant it, and I hope it survives. I love the color, and took a closeup shot of it sitting beside one of the hostas in our otherwise sparse flowerbed. I think the picture turned out nice, and even set the larger size as desktop wallpaper on Scott's laptop. So pretty! I rarely take the photos around here - usually leaving that up to him, because he has such a knack for it. When I looked up at the sky after photographing the flowers, the sun was peeking through some ominous black clouds. Cool shot, I thought. And it was :) Like most everyone else, I'm glad it's Friday and the end of the workweek. I'm looking forward to the weekend, although we don't have any special plans. I absolutely must get some cleaning done around here. There's just something wrong with telling my daughter to clean her room when I can't even walk through my own without tripping over piles of clothes. And let's not even mention the bathrooms....eeks! Ok...now that you've muddled through this post (and thanks to everyone who did), go indulge in some great writing at Lost in Transit, a group weblog being written by expatriates around the world - including some of my favorite people :) Cheers, all...have a great evening! 6:06:23 PM comment []
