Saturday musingsI spent the day with my mother and Carrie in Murfreesboro shopping for the wedding. Carrie found a pair of cute little strappy shoes to wear with her dress, and mom bought the bridesmaids gifts. We were even lucky enough to find a beautiful strand of faux pearls and dangly earrings that match perfectly with the gown. All in all the trip was a major success and we even had time to browse around in Bath & Body Works. I can never leave that store without making a purchase, and naturally there was a sale in progress. Buy 3 - get 1 free...so I chose one bottle of Cotton Blossom shower gel, some Warm Vanilla Sugar bubble bath with the accompanying body lotion and got a very pretty oil candle free. I even managed to find a nice pair of khakis and cotton pullover at T J Maxx. Although I'm tired, I feel satisfied - and in a much better mood than a few days ago. Nothing like retail therapy... ;) Hope everyone's having a nice weekend. Supper's on the stove, and Scott looks lonely in the den, so I'm outta here till tomorrow. Cheers :) 7:12:44 PM comment []

TypepadLooks like Radio and Blogger will get a run for their money with the launch of Typepad. I've been using Radio for almost a year, and although I've finally reached a comfort level with the software, it is still trifling, and the support has been negligible. My subscription is up for renewal in June, so the timing couldn't be better if I decide to switch. For the past few months I've thought more and more about having my own domain name and different hosting, yet skittish about yet another learning curve. Movable Type seems to be so popular, but the installation and setup look to be quite complicated. And then there's the problem of hosting... Typepad, however, might be just right blogging tool for me, as long as the fees are reasonable. I'm impressed with the features that will be offered, and signed up to be notified of the beta launch.7:03:19 AM comment []
