So I get in from work and...

there are suds, suds and more suds running out from the bottom of the dishwasher all over the kitchen floor.  Scott's standing at the sink, once full - now empty, dishrag in hand...greeting me with that "Honey, I washed the dishes!" look.  We'd run out of dishwasher detergent.  He, being the crafty one, had the brilliant idea of substituting what should go in the dishwasher with regular dishwashing liquid.  You get the picture...

At least the kitchen floor is clean now.

Stranded

My Tuesday didn't start out so great....

Seems my secretary, who's expecting a baby in 8 weeks, has suddenly been put to bed by her physician for the rest of this week, and it's doubtful she'll return to work before the baby is born.  Since we're under a budget crunch here and constantly looking for ways to save money, I've decided not to replace her with a temp during her absence (which most likely will be until late July). 

So here I am, looking for a blank purchase order form and I'll be damned if I can find one anywhere in her desk or filing cabinet.   So far, I've found a box of Goldfish crackers, a half-empty bottle of hand lotion, one box of bandaids, a December 2000 Redbook magazine, one half-eaten banana already turning black, and a box of AAA batteries.  Batteries??  Oh dear... Don't we have a filing system?  And doesn't she know I'm not allowed Goldfish crackers on my diet?? 

It's going to be a long summer...
