The American Idol Babes

I was suprised that Kimberly Caldwell was voted off American Idol last night.  This is my theory:  The large majority of callers voting for these people are teenage girls.  I think they've been trying to get Kimberly voted off since the beginning because they view her as a snob.  Her voice is grating.  Nails-on-chalkboard grating.  (I've heard it referred to as "husky" - same difference).  And she's too pretty.  Teenage girls don't like her.  She's just too full of herself, so to speak.   They certainly don't like to watch their boyfriends turn into blithering, drooling idiots two nights a week.  I know this is true because I've witnessed it in my own house lol.  Kim's been put in the bottom 3 for the past few weeks...it was only a matter of time.  Girls win.  Boys lose. 

I like Carmen's voice, but her performances don't shine.  She should have gone home last night, and I'm sure she expected to.  I bet she was more suprised than anyone that she's getting another chance.  Lucky her.  Real lucky.

Personally, I believe Ruben will win this thing.  We've talked about this around the house, and we all pretty much agree that he's been groomed for the win since the beginning of the show.  I'm seriously rooting for Kimberley Locke, though, not only because she has such an amazing voice, but because she's from right here in Tennessee :)

I just realized I used the title "babes" for this post and never mentioned Simon Cowell.  Is he a hottie or what??  heheh
