Vivendi exec shuffle raises Net questions. CNET reports that CEO Jean-Marie Messier is stepping down as chairman of Vivendi. After earning a staggering 5.12 million euros last year I guess he won't be joining me on the dole queue just yet. Another French media story is covered in the Financial Times who report that Tiscali, the European ISP, may be bought by Wanadoo or T-Online. The report cites a JP Morgan bank assessment that Tiscali will run out of cash by end of 2003 while not expecting them to turn a profit until 2005. The report is hotly denied by Tiscali who reckon they will be in profit by the end of this year. Let's wait and see.
