Apple has released QuickTime v6.1, via the QuickTime control panel software update feature, or possibly the Network Update panel of System Preferences (on OS X). Playbacktime points out that there is no sign of the 3GPP support. MacCentral's article lists the changes.
So far I've tried downloading from www.apple.com/quicktime, or using the software update button with no luck; but clearly some people have gotten it to work.
