Imaging Resource has an updated article on Fuji's announcement of a new "SuperCCD" sensor which adds almost two stops of dynamic range compared to regular CCDs. They've done this by adding a second low-sensitivity sensor to every pixel, which can handle overloaded areas of light (such as you have with blown out highlights outdoors). Very interesting development -- can't wait to see sample photos. 7:21:19 AM

dpreview says there's been another delay in the availability of the Kodak DCS-14n camera to mid-February but there are now more sample photos from it to examine. 6:59:48 AM

As pointed out on all the other QuickTime news sites, Qtilities has a product called QT detection Pack 1.0 which are JavaScript and QT movies that enables a website author to detect what version of QuickTime a visitor has, their QT connection speed, and their O/S, for $7.95. 6:58:41 AM

Sorenson has come up with a fix for a crash when compressing to MP4 with Sorenson Squeeze and QuickTime v6.1. (the previous workaround was to revert to QuickTime v6.0). 6:42:19 AM
