From the New York Times: an article entitled "Is Digital Eclipsing the Moment at Kodak" has some interesting tidbits about film vs. digital: Americans buy 850 millions rolls of film a year. For Kodak, film demand peaked in 1999 and has begun to slow markedly. Kodak has several minilab products that allow you to print pictures from digital cameras coming out.
