Peace in our Time Not sure why but as I woke up this morning the thought occured to me that a good name for a non-oxymoronic organization would be, "Christians for Peace." Probably didn't even need google to find www.christiansforpeace.org . A quick review of their website shows the peace part to be in order -- if you believe that the UN is a peace organization. However, I'm not sure where they find in the Bible that Jesus calls for the end of individual nationhood to be replaced by a single government led by UN and its subdivisions like the International Criminal Court. They must have some real Nimrods working over there. 11:06:10 AM![]() |
Indymedia Seizure Signals Clampdown on Dissent Is the blogosphere immune? "He considers the seizure, 'an indication of the growing importance of independent media and Internet communications, which have become the medium through which dissent is expressed. Unfortunately, this is a time when dissent is not being tolerated and vehicles for dissent are being punished.' ...Indymedia has drawn the attention of U.S. authorities in the past for its coverage of the Republican National Convention in New York in August, and protests against the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas (FTAA) in Quebec City in 2001." 8:04:05 AM![]() |
