Mitch Ratcliffe summarizes thoughts from a few threads about what rich media messaging tools might look like. One crucial point is that just putting an exec in front of a mic/camera and delivering a message is only a slight improvement over voice communications today -- it's the ability to wrap other content/context around that that changes the nature of the message. But, people (professionals and consumers) need to be able to create these messages without the overhead of a complex desktop application or production tool.
