An Old Friend....

As I've mentioned before a certain Korean incense burner changed my approach to clay. I was lucky enough to visit Korea and upon seeing National Treasure No. 95 experienced a paradigm shift.

I could see a civilization that used the plasticity of clay not to make the vessels I usually thought of, mugs and bowls, but as a medium to construct more advance technology.

So I got quite a laugh when John Neely sent me some shots from the World Ceramic Biennale in Korea.

A picture named neelycenser.jpg

My special National Treasure no. 95 is being cranked out like so many  Martha Stewart Salt and Pepper Shakers.
