Astronomical Surface Decorations on Ceramics, Ancient Egypt, part II (...20 mins of searching...) Lots of interesting Ancient Egypt pottery info at André Dollinger's site:  Decorations on pottery include geometric forms, many oared boats, people and animals.  Clay was also used to make Ushabtis, "the stand-ins for the deceased" as well as other figures. No mention of celestial elements... (...20 mins more searching...) However, hieroglyphics were used on pottery.  That seems a promising avenue of research to find astronomical references. 10:40:04 PM
