Astronomical Surface Decorations on Ceramics, Mesopotamia, part IV

On the trail of yesterday's find...

Ahmad IRIS references an Assyriam star map in the article Astronomy of Babylon. He notes that the drawing is by L.W.King with corrections by J.Koch. Neue Untersuchungen zut Topographie des Babilonischen Fixsternhimmels (Wiesbaden 1989), p. 56ff

A quick look at the above page's source code finds the drawing labeled nineveh.jpg...

...A bit of Googleing and...

I get a nice decipherment by
Andis Kaulins. Kaulins has it showing a 3300BC sky with constellations, equinoxes, pole star, etc...  This is the sort of thing I was hoping to find.  Star maps on ceramics...of course it is note really a decoration, but much like the illustration in a manuscript
