    Miscellany

§ - Locked Out of House and Home - Ah! I'm so relieved to be away from apartment life where that sort of arbitrary stuff happens all the time! Okay, technically I do live in an apartment but it's in a four-plex in a residential neighborhood rather than a big impersonal complex. The landlord lives just across the street instead of across town and I deal directly with him rather than some hired flunky. More space than many houses. I've got a yard with a patio. I have a washer & dryer right here in my home instead of having to haul stuff a block to a laundry room where I'd be spending $3.00/load just to have clean underwear. This is as good as it's going to get until I can afford a place where the nearest neighbor is a mile or two away. (I want a quiet and smoke-free environment—I say as Upstairs Neighbor's cigarette smoke wafts in through my open windows...)

§ - Ditto! - These Are a Few of My Least Favorite Things

§ - Raise Your Own Children, Please - "The entertainment industry does not cater to your particular religion or morals. The rest of the population of this country is not a watchdog group for your children. You are."

§ - India's Moon Quest by 2008 - "India considers its success in the space program as a matter of prestige for a poor country where millions are homeless and uneducated."
