Dark Side Of The Moon
My wife and I drove up to New Paltz, NY this morning to check out some shops and galleries, have some lunch and take in the view of distant Mohonk. We got back just in time to haul out my Meade ETX telescope and watch a beautiful lunar eclipse. I even hooked up my 35mm Pentax to the scope for the first time and played around with some exposures using Tri-X black and white film. I haven't done any astrophotography since college so I tried a variety of shutter speeds. We'll see how the pix turn out. If they're good enough, you'll see some of them here. If they're not here, well, they're not good enough. The next big interstellar event (solar flares notwithstanding) will be the Leonid meteor shower on November 19th.
