Weekend Fun

Ahhhh, weekends!

My folks have come to town for the weekend and we've been spending some time together. As I sit here tapping away on Apollo, my Dad is tapping away on his laptop on the other couch. I went into getting them at Metro Center this morning, shared a great Brunch over at the Hyatt, and saw a neat little piece of analog technology.

Pop-up books.

My mom picked up two Christmas themed pop-up books at the National Gallery of Art. They were the most intricate, wonderful, incredible pieces of published art that I've ever seen! It was incredible. The pop-outs were detailed, had moving wheels and parts and incredible. Goes to show you that, once again, human ingenuity is an amazing thing.

Tonight's my concert at Falls Church Presbyterian. Choralis is performing with Sherry Reed Crotty and the Classical Brass Quintet at 8pm. There are still a few seats available, and if you're interested in coming, please do. Tickets are $20, and will be worth it just for a few pieces that Echos is performing. Worth doing if you're bored on a Saturday in DC.
