Surreality Watching Tommy tonight off the TiVo. Man. What a thoroughly fucked up movie. Complete with Marilyn Monroe worshipped as a goddess, with pills and scotch as the water and wine. Moment straight out of At The Rialto Well, I'm headed to LA tomorrow, which always tends to remind of the Connie Willis story At The Rialto. There's a surreality to Los Angeles, the wealth, the stardom, the spread layout of the city and Orange County beyond it. Much of the town is caught up in a vision, influenced by KSR's California Trilogy. But, I am headed to Canter's Fairfax for a killer pastrami sandwich, like the one Clark Gable had in...
