Once Again Dell Interns Are Morons.

Once again the Dell Interns have enraged me. The current ads that surround the designs of their machines, and worse, the interns' impressions of the designers themselves, are again awful.

The problem with the interns is that they completely mock the people that they didn't understand. They talk about them in technological terms when really what they do isn't just form and factor, it's artistry. They treat them as precision engineers, grabbing their tape measures and measuring things, instead of crafting the artistry of a computer. They're once again parodying the process to try to dumb it down for people, when that's not what we need to do.

Dell, take a lesson from Apple and glorify your designs, do not parody them. Treat what they do as art, as craft, and not as something to poke a bit of fun at on television to make yourself a little bit of money. Besides, I think it's pretty clear to see that most of your designers aren't nearly as good as those at Sony, Apple, Toshiba or several other major companies. Dell makes good hardware, but it's ugly as hell.

The Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates picked up their first win over the Boston Red Sox in just under a Century. That's right, the last time the Pirates beat the Red Sox was in 1903, on October 6th. Just about 100 years later, the two gathered at PNC Park last night, in old school uni's, which I thought was just excellent.
