My remix of Bush's inauguration can be said to have touched the point with a needle (or hit the nail on the head) - rem acu tetigisti. If he did not pose as God, Bush certainly pretended to act in the name of God, which is blasphemy.
Progressive: "Bush's Inaugural Address contained many explicit references to God, but there were even more hidden allusions to the Bible that may have been lost to many in his audience, as they were to me, before I did some research.
The subtle subtext of his speech carries with it a profoundly disturbing message about the separation of church and state in this country."
And Bush used some very antiquated language: "I speak to you anew." The President of America is a Pompous Ass. Listen to Gore Vidal on the speech.

Never before have the neocon mind and wishes stood so far from reality. Bush's intention of 'democracy' (say 'the mockracy') for Iraq is false.
His taxing policies are destroying the power of the American government (which could be his ultimate aim so that corporate America reigns supreme).
Bush is bankrupting America.
CityPages: "The most conservative principle in western civilization is taxation based on the ability to pay. Because that is the principle that led to the creation of Athenian democracy. Plato, Aristotle, Adam Smith, the father of capitalism, David Ricardo, John Locke, John Stuart Mill - every single one of the worldly philosophers has concluded over 2,500 years that taxes should be based on the ability to pay. I meet all sorts of people who think that Marx thought this up, or FDR, and they are very ahistorical about it."

The persons Bush nominates for high offices are incompetent or downright criminals.
Wired: "Senate Democrats denounced Condoleeza Rice on Tuesday as an architect of some of the worst mistakes in the Iraq war, but Republicans accused them of merely grandstanding since Rice is certain to be confirmed as the next U.S. secretary of state."
She also has a problem with the truth.
"Federal Appeals Court Judge Michael Chertoff's ties to the financiers of the Sept. 11 attacks may prevent his confirmation as Homeland Security Chief."
Also "Gonzales may have violated 18 U.S.C. 1001, which makes it a federal crime to make false statements to a congressional committee."
In short, the Bush administration consists of incompetent liars and criminals. As 'Commander-in-Chief' Bush is an utter failure.
