Subscribe to this podcast with peace songs. You can also download lots of them here and here (has videos as well).

"A track on the Rolling Stones' upcoming album A Bigger Bang reportedly attacks interventionist supporters of President George Bush known as neo-conservatives.
'You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite,' Sir Mick Jagger sings in Sweet Neo Con, one of 16 tracks featured on the September release."

CNSNews: "Celebrity activist Harry Belafonte referred to prominent African-American officials in the Bush administration as 'black tyrants' at a weekend march, and he also compared the administration to Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany."

Greenleft: "Australian corporations have been well rewarded for their government's participation in the invasion and occupation of Iraq. A host of companies have received contracts related to oil infrastructures, communications technology, transport, food distribution and much more."
Let no-one be in any doubt, globalization means war; wars are essential in a global economy to 'protect' the interests of the neocons (or create them). All those countries involved in Iraq are there for the money; forget about 'democracy' or 'freedom' when these are even under attack from neocons in the West.

Zmag: "In my America, shopping is the universal spiritual value. Maybe add flag waving and barbecues! But globalization means spreading a culture of corporate brand names and 24/7 sales pitches. Rogue States who refuse to embrace this order are targets of regime change."
Friedman's choice for the Lexus instead of the olive tree, means a choice for war and suppression of the masses for the benefit of the few and the corporations without morals. It's a choice for greed and war.
To achieve that end of corporate globalization the US is ready to pact with the devil. In many instances the US has been instrumental in creating the forces that now threaten us. They have created the Taliban, they armed Saddam Hussein, they allowed Israel to become a nuclear power. To counterbalance India the US has allowed Pakistan to develop a nuclear bomb. Now they are cooperating with India in the nuclear field. In one word, the US (and its lap-dog the UK) has militarized this world.
Expatica: "The CIA asked the Netherlands not to detain Pakistani scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan for stealing nuclear secrets from a Dutch facility, former Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers has claimed."

In the US whistleblowers draw fire.
Yahoo: "Bunnatine 'Bunny' Greenhouse is the Principal Assistant Responsible for Contracting ('PARC') in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Lest the title fool, she is responsible for awarding billions upon billions in taxpayers' money to private companies hired to resurrect war-torn Iraq and to feed, clothe, shelter and do the laundry of American troops stationed there.
She has rained a mighty storm upon herself for standing up, before members of Congress and live on C-SPAN to proclaim things are just not right in this staggeringly profitable business.
She has asked many questions: Why is Halliburton - a giant Texas firm that holds more than 50 percent of all rebuilding efforts in Iraq - getting billions in contracts without competitive bidding? Do the durations of those contracts make sense? Have there been violations of federal laws regulating how the government can spend its money?"
The war in Iraq is fought for the benefit of corporations like Halliburton and the oil industry. American sons and daughters give their lives - not for democracy and freedom - but for the greed of the neocons.
So get your ass to Crawford and support Cindy Sheehan.
