SundayMirror: "Tony Blair is expected to join one of the most exclusive groups of businessmen in the world after he leaves Downing Street.
The PM is being lined up for a highly lucrative position with the Carlyle Group - an American-based investment giant with strong links to the White House and the defence industry."

USAToday: "The growing dependency on private charity by thousands of people reflects how Holland - long admired for its fast-paced growth, high employment and prosperity - is increasingly falling on hard times."
This is the result of following the American example, the result of privatization and deregulation. The rich become richer and the poor poorer. Fraud among the corporations is widespread, the introduction of the obligatory ID card has only increased the state revenue - fines from people who couldn't show their ID, privatized health care is costing more and more and lots of people can no longer afford it.

Borowitz: "At a conference being held this week in Oslo, Norway, over one thousand of the world's leading scientists have concluded that neither the theory of evolution nor the theory of intelligent design adequately explain President George W. Bush."
This Borowitz can tell a good witz.
