And while we are celebrating Armistice Day, the powers that be are preparing their new wars.
SpaceWar: "Boeing has received a $78.2 million contract from Northrop Grumman Mission Systems to deploy a replacement Environmental Control System (ECS) for more than 550 U.S. Air Force Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) launch, missile alert and Class 1 trainer facilities."
USAToday: "The Russian missile forces chief said that the military had decided to keep its heaviest intercontinental ballistic missiles in service for another decade."
SpaceWar: "Russia on Thursday tested an intercontinental ballistic missile from a base in Kazakhstan, the Khrunishev national space centre said. The missile, a RS-18 - or a SS-19 Stiletto under NATO designation, was launched at 2.35 pm (1135 GMT) and successfully hit its target more than 5,000 kilometres (3,100 miles) away in the Russian Far East region."
George W. Bush is responsible for the new arms race. As a result of his aggression all over the world, the other nations are arming themselves.

Armistice Day, Remembrance Day, Veteran's Day. Sad days.
November is the time of the year when we wear a red poppy in memory of those who sacrificed their lives during wars. All wars? Not for me.
The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month marks the signing of the Armistice, on November 11, 1918, to signal the end of World War One.
Remembrance Day is a sad day because it remembers the sacrifice of those who fell in just wars, in WWI and WWII. It is also a sad day because it remembers the stupidity of those who started wars.
Of course, we should also remember the soldiers fallen in recent wars, but when those who are responsible for recent wars of aggression preside over the ceremonies, it is indeed a very sad day.
Bastards like Tony Blair and George Bush are war criminals. So Remembrance Day is a day when we should remember the stupidity of war.
Channel 4 newsreader Jon Snow refuses to wear a poppy. I am not so sure whether his arguments are really valid. But when the war criminals wear poppies, it's time to organise your own Remembrance Day. We should celebrate Armistice Day.
We should first and foremost remember the soldiers who fell during WWI and WWII and celebrate the day the war ended.
Remembering our wars of aggression is a crying shame.
Update: On "Doug's" I found this link to White Poppies for Peace.
It appears the alternative white poppy dates back to 1926. And a decade later another world war was being prepared. When will they ever learn that war is no option?
