WashingtonPost: "The White House suggested two years ago that the Justice Department fire all 93 U.S. attorneys, a proposal that eventually resulted in the dismissals of eight prosecutors last year, according to e-mails and internal documents that the administration will provide to Congress today."

Of course Gonzalez won't resign. Dash it, he is a criminal and criminals don't resign, it's a calling. Gonzalez IS the law.

Americablog: "So, Bush was involved in firing the U.S. Attorneys. Huh. Looks like Gonzales lied about the firings under oath. Huh."

ICWales: "Labour's high command faces a key test of its authority tonight as it struggles to see off a revolt on plans to renew Britain's nuclear deterrent.
Prime Minister Tony Blair is determined that a £20bn replacement should be commissioned before he leaves office. The controversial decision is also crucial for his likely successor, Gordon Brown - who is firmly in favour.
MPs vote tonight on the plan, with as many as 100 Labour MPs wanting either a delay or no Trident at all.
Although the Government will win the vote with Conservative support, a failure to persuade Labour MPs to support them will be an embarrassment to Mr Blair and Mr Brown."

What does Tony want the deterrent for? It's either the fuzzy-wuzzies or has the devious little son of a bachelor Big Brother in mind?
What is needed is a clean-up of the Labour party. Out all war criminals and sleazy spin doctors.
