(US-Massachusetts) A leading Clinical Research organization is looking for a Medical Affairs Director who will manage a growing and highly visible department. This position is responsible for the overall management of the department including hiring/training, coordination and execution of projects including clinical trials, clinical monitoring, medical writing and safety and surveillance issues. The Director will interact with clients, evaluate new processes, develop good working relationships with sponsors, provide drug development strategy and be involved with FDA meetings and regulations. REQUIREMENTS: *Medical Degree *5+ years experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology and/or medical device industry *2+ years industry management experience *strong knowledge of clinical trials and clinical monitoring requirements and procedures *Medical knowledge in oncology a MUST; also knowledge of cardiology and orthopedics *Must have basic/good knowledge of principles of drug and/or device development. *Must have strong analytical, communication and team building skills *Project Management experience *Prefer experience in a CRO *Some travel required Salary is based on experience.
