(US-Colorado-Boulder/Fort Collins) Group Leader, Drug Metabolism Job Description: We seek a dedicated scientist with substantial experience in cell based and in vivo ADME as well as a working knowledge of toxicology to fill a key leadership role in the Drug Metabolism Group. The Drug Metabolism Group is responsible for the design, execution, and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo pharmacokinetic (PK) assays, PK data analysis and modeling, metabolite profiling, and cytotoxicity screening. This multi-disciplinary group consists of biochemists and cell biologists who work closely with analytical chemists in our Analytical Chemistry Group. The Drug Metabolism Group plays a critical role in lead optimization efforts for both internal research as well as collaborative research projects. In addition, it has a critical responsibility in the selection of drugs for Development, including designing and implementing pre-clinical development plans. The Drug Metabolism Group Leader will direct this group. The ideal candidate will have significant industrial small molecule discovery experience in their area of expertise and a broad familiarity with other technologies, sciences, and therapeutic areas. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day laboratory operations, recruiting, identifying/evaluating new target and technology opportunities, and playing a critical role in lead optimization efforts and the creation of intellectual property.
