In just the last year, genes for breast cancer, skin cancer, Alzheimer's disease and hypertension have been identified by dedicated professionals using our client's instrumentation, reagents and software. Bioinformatics Algorithm Software Test Engineer Working closely with algorithm developers, scientists, and software testers, you will test algorithms written in Matlab, C++ or Java, which are designed to process gene expression/ microarray data. Tasks include writing test plans and cases, selecting statistically sound test suites from large data sets, writing test tools and generating reports. Requirements: Experience in bioinformatics AND software engineering. BS/MS or PhD degree in Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Math or Bioinformatics is required. Must have at least 1 year of Software development and/or algorithm testing experience with Perl, Java, or C/C++. Database experience in Oracle.
