(US-New Jersey) Our client, a major pharmaceutical company in Parsippany, NJ is looking for a Technical Writer with the following qualifications: Requirement Notes: Need a technical writer ASAP to assist in documentation for server qualification. 2 month assignment. The ideal candidate will have validation experience and experience in an Intel environment. Candidate must have come from a global technology group. (US-Massachusetts) MISSION STATEMENT: Develop and characterize formulations to support small molecule drug discovery and development programs. The position requires hands on laboratory work. Job Responsibilities: · Establish a formulation development and testing lab. · Develop prototypes of formulations (solid and liquid dosage forms for injection and oral dosing). · Characterize new drug substances and formulations with respect to relevant thermal, solid state, solubility, and stability properties. · Hands on operation and maintenance of analytical instruments. · Effectively transfer research formulations developed in the lab to the manufacturing facilities. · Assist with defining QC specifications / audits / generation of documents for regulatory agencies. Education/Experience: Ph.D. with a minimum of 3 years industry experience. developing formulations for injection and oral dosing (capsule and tablet) of small molecules. o employing freeze-drying operations for manufacturing. o determining the physicochemical characteristics of API and formulations. o transferring formulation processed from the bench to the manufacturer. Ø Working knowledge of GLP and cGMP. Ø Scientific analysis, interpretation and problem solving skills. Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

In just the last year, genes for breast cancer, skin cancer, Alzheimer's disease and hypertension have been identified by dedicated professionals using our client's instrumentation, reagents and software. Bioinformatics Algorithm Software Test Engineer Working closely with algorithm developers, scientists, and software testers, you will test algorithms written in Matlab, C++ or Java, which are designed to process gene expression/ microarray data. Tasks include writing test plans and cases, selecting statistically sound test suites from large data sets, writing test tools and generating reports. Requirements: Experience in bioinformatics AND software engineering. BS/MS or PhD degree in Genetics, Biology, Chemistry, Math or Bioinformatics is required. Must have at least 1 year of Software development and/or algorithm testing experience with Perl, Java, or C/C++. Database experience in Oracle. Familiarity with RepeatMasker, SIM4, BLAST, and suffix tree algorithms a plus. 3+ years of Perl and C/C++. Software QA experience with white-box testing a must. Requires knowledge and skills in Matlab, C/C++ or Java programming and the ability to develop testing tools and documentation. General knowledge in one of the following areas is essential: pattern recognition, statistical data analysis, microarray technology, image and database analysis. Matlab programming skills and experience with gene expression analysis tools are a plus.
