Bush Wants Syria Next?

President Bush: 'We believe there are chemical weapons in Syria.'Even though no concrete evidence has of yet been found of the chemical weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, President Bush announced today, "We believe there are chemical weapons in Syria."

Hint hint, wink wink!  Basically he's announcing (or at least threatening) to the world that once Iraq has calmed down, and since all those troops are already in the area, he wants to march into Syria.

Of course if Bush were serious and fair about weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East, he'd mention that Israel has nuclear capability and refused to sign The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.  Saddam may or may not have had chemical weapon-tipped scuds, but Tel Aviv more than likely has something that makes a much bigger dent in someone's country.

Some Democrats are already feeling ansy about what Bush and the Republicans have up their sleeve next.  "I think that Syria's in their cross hairs, as well as Iran and, quite frankly, our Arab 'friends'," Delaware Democratic Sen. Joseph Biden said.

This is not going to end anytime soon.

Time Cube

Someone should read the entire Time Cube site and then get back to me with a tidy summation of what that guy is blabbering about.

I did see the claim that "American teachers are sworn to fight against the truth of Time Cube."  I for one have never sworn to fight against the truth of anything.  In fact, I haven't sworn to do anything at all.  The only swearing you'll hear from me is when I occasionally bang my toe on the coffee table.

I did notice something else.  If you scroll very quickly from the top of the site to the bottom, the colors have the potential to cause seizures.  That could come in handy someday.

Wait, I take that back.  Don't get back to me about this site.  I don't want to know.  I don't want to get sucked into the world of the Time Cube more than I am already.

But if you do become a Time Cubist, make sure you spread the word with vigor, righteousness, and copious amounts of speaking in tongues.  Nothing wins over the masses like speaking in tongues.

Anything To Pass

A student comes to a young teacher's classroom afterschool.  She glances down the hall, closes his door, kneels pleadingly.

"I would do anything to pass this exam." She leans closer to him, flips back her hair, gazes meaningfully into his eyes.  "I mean...," she whispers. "I would do...anything."

He returns her gaze. "Anything?"

"Anything."

His voice softens. "Anything??"

"Absolutely anything."

His voice turns to a whisper. "Would you...study?"
