First A Teacher Can't Use Red Ink Anymore
...because it might hurt the poor kid's feelings if his 3+3=2 has a big red "X" over it. Now teachers are being told you can't raise your voice in the classroom if, say for example, someone's angel is flinging boogers at his classmates. Wouldn't want to damage his high self-esteem, now would we?
What next? Don't give kids tests because they might fail and feel bad?
Don't tell a kid to stop talking because everyone knows that Freedom of Speech outweighs Ability to Read?
Let it be known, I'm keeping my red pens and I'm raising my voice when I feel it necessary. If I have to, I'll even buy an electric bullhorn that also plays "La Cucaracha" just to spice things up.
And if they feel bad, well, tough. Life after high school doesn't always feel good. Start getting used to it.
